(PTA)
Kate Johnson is a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant with over 10 years of clinical experience, including the last 7 years specializing exclusively in pelvic health. She holds both an Associate’s and Bachelors degree in physical therapy studies from Pima Medical Institute, where her she focused her research on pelvic floor therapy with an emphasis on pregnancy and birth injury prevention.
Kate treats a wide range of pelvic health conditions, including pelvic pain utilizing pain science and trauma informed care, general incontinence, pre- and postpartum concerns, children’s incontinence with primitive reflex integration, men’s pelvic health, autoimmune conditions, and hypermobility syndromes—particularly in neurodiverse patients.
In addition to her clinical work, Kate teaches pelvic floor content to Physical Therapy students at Pima Medical Institute and is deeply committed to ensuring the next generation of Physical Therapist Assistants enter the field with a strong, evidence-based foundation in pelvic health.
Her passion for pelvic health grew from her own experiences with three challenging pregnancies and the realization that many symptoms commonly normalized should never be dismissed or untreated. Her treatment philosophy is patient-centered, evidence-informed, and focused on restoring function, autonomy, and returning trust in the body.
Outside of the clinic, Kate enjoys cooking for autoimmune health, learning nervous system regulation practices, and spending time with her three grown children as she embraces life beyond on-call motherhood.
