Dr. Katie Bucholz earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Diego, CA in 2014. She is a Certified Orthopedic Specialist since 2016, as well as residency trained in Orthopedics. She also holds a Spinal Manipulation Endorsement through the state of Washington. Katie was an adjunct faculty member of the University of St. Augustine in San Diego for 5 years in the Musculoskeletal Classes and Movement Sciences.  Prior to physical therapy school she completed a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ where she was also a D1 collegiate athlete for swimming.

Dr. Katie Bucholz has been working in the outpatient orthopedic setting for her entire career and specializes in the diagnosis and management of sports injuries, orthopedic injuries, post operative as well as general musculoskeletal conditions including cervical and lower back pain, shoulder pain as well as knee and ankle injuries. Growing up in the world of athletics she understands the mentality and desire of wanting to maintain your body’s ultimate potential. Her holistic, evidence-based treatment approach has an emphasis on manual therapy and functional therapeutic exercise with movement coordination training and ergonomics. It is her life’s passion to be able to return patients to their greatest potential and have people enjoy themselves in the process. She believes in tailoring each treatment program to fit the needs of each patient.

Dr. Katie Bucholz is a southern California native transplanted to Washington because her husband is from Gig Harbor. Outside of the clinic she enjoys training for various running races, traveling, doing anything outside and keeping up with her two kids.
