Dr. Claudia Burns
(PT, DPT, COMT)
In 2010 Dr. Claudia Burns received her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN and in 2014 earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of New England in Portland, ME. Since then she has exclusively worked in outpatient rehabilitation, learning a variety of skills and techniques to expedite patient recovery from a multitude of conditions. She spent eight years practicing in Maine before hitting the road as a travel therapist, completing contracts in Washington, New Mexico, Alaska, and Indiana, but is excited to settle down here in Washington.
She is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist, and enjoys combining both hands-on and active interventions to reestablish quality movement and performance. She has over 10 years experience treating a wide-range of conditions including chronic low back and neck pain, post-operative rehab, and various sprains/strains, and undiagnosed aches and pains acquired from adventurous weekend warriors and dedicated desk jockeys. Her goal is to connect, inform, and inspire people to lead active, healthy lifestyles and one of the joys of her life has been helping people get back to the activities that make them feel fulfilled.
When not working she can be found running or hiking the gorgeous mountain trails of the PNW, backpacking, reading, working out, cooking (okay…eating!), or spending quality time with her boyfriend, Corban, and their two cats. She loves to travel to visit friends and family all across the country, and counts her countless memories made with them amongst her most precious possessions.
