Want to Learn Some Rotator Cuff Exercises That You Can Easily do at Home or at Work?

Here are two simple rotator cuff exercises that you can do at home or at work to improve the endurance of your rotator cuff muscles. Your rotator cuff is comprised of 4 muscles. These muscles need to all work together in order to provide the shoulder joint with adequate stability and controlled mobility. Quite often, the external rotators of the shoulder become weak. This is partly due to our posture throughout the day and partly due to the fact that most people don’t train these muscles.

There are tons of different rotator cuff exercises that you can do to improve the endurance of these muscles. I really like these two because they require minimal to no equipment. Each of these rotator cuff exercises can easily be performed whether you are at work or at home. No more excuses! Remember, the rotator cuff muscles are meant to provide endurance, not necessarily strength. You want to go for higher repetitions with these as opposed to using more weight. For more information on strength training, visit an older post here on maximizing motor units.

Try these exercises out and let us know what you think. If you would like to see more content similar to this, feel free to reach out to me via email. I’ve also published an earlier article here that has some more dynamic shoulder rotator cuff exercises for the overhead athlete if you feel you need more of a challenge.
